January 2006—1) "Centennial Rededication Service," The Shofar (monthly newsletter of Tifereth Israel Synagogue, San Diego, California),  p. 2: The  congregation thanks Gloria Rimland, Ralph Barnes, Harriet Salter, Rory Goldberg and everyone else who contributed to making the Centennial Dinner on December 9th such a success. Over 250 people gathered for a Shabbat rededication service followed by a wonderful dinner in the Cohen Social Hall. We were joined by dignitaries Jim Madaffer, our local city councilman, and his aide Jay Wilson; Michele Kleinert, representing Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Shirley Horton, the 78th District assemblywoman, who presented proclamations and resolutions congratulating Tifereth Israel Synagogue on our 100 years of congregational life.
