Gloria Rimland is an amazing woman who, in her quiet, unassuming fashion, rises to the top of any volunteer group that she graces with her presence. How many other people could become the first female president of a Conservative congregation—Tifereth Israel Synagogue—and later also  rise to the presidency of St. Madeleine Sophie's Center, a Roman Catholic organization dedicated to fostering the talents of disabled persons whatever their race, religion or nationality?
