Laura Simon

Laura is an artist, a writer and a conversationalist who is on the verge of celebrating her 100th birthday this coming November. While serving as editor of the San Diego Jewish Press-Heritage, I had the pleasure of running two of her stories, which later captured journalistic awards. Pretty remarkable, given that Laura, whose vision is so impaired as to make her legally blind, had only recently started her writing career by dictating her thoughts into a tape recorder for later transcription.
