Mollie (Spatz) Ratner was my wife Ann's grandmother.  She was born in 1899 in New York. She was one of the original Jolly 16, a group that helped found the San Diego Hebrew Home. She died in 1997, the day before our first son's bar mitzvah, three weeks short of her 99th birthday.
